Bench announces partnership and successful go live with Centric PLM

CAMPBELL, California, September 27, 2016 – Bench, an international stylish clothing brand, successfully rolled out its Centric PLM project on time and on budget. Centric is the leading product lifestyle management (PLM) solution for fashion, retail, outdoor, footwear, luxury and consumer goods companies.

Started in 1989 as a small menswear label with roots in skate and BMX culture, today Bench has grown into a global brand that offers fashionable, comfortable and timeless pieces featuring innovations in fabric and styling suited to a 24-hour lifestyle. Today, Bench is present in 34 countries throughout Europe and North America.

Bench sought a PLM solution as a foundation to their global growth initiative and to improve their product development process. “We were looking for a PLM solution which would support us in expanding our product portfolio and reducing time to market. After carefully investigating the market, Centric was the clear choice for us. We decided to put our trust in the global market leader for PLM solutions,” explains Dr. Bruno Sälzer, Chairman and CEO of Bench.

Among the key deciding factors when making the selection were Centric‘s innovative solution, Centric 8 PLM, and the ability to deliver quickly using their Agile DeploymentTM methodology.

“Centric has industry specific best practices built right into the software which means no time consuming, costly customization is needed. I’m really impressed with Centric’s out-of-the-box solution which allowed us to have the system up and running within four months, on time and on budget,” continues Sälzer.

After four months the system was being used in Germany and the UK.

“We chose Centric to improve collaboration throughout the supply chain and simplify internal and external processes in line with best practices. Our goal is to increase our productivity and reduce our time to market while continuing to grow our business,” elaborates Sebastian Streck, Chief Product Officer at Bench.

“We are very proud to have successfully gone live across all of Bench’s divisions and to fully meet Bench’s expectations,” says Chris Groves, President and CEO of Centric. “We are excited to play a hand in Bench’s growth initiative and will to continue to partner with them for the next stages in their strategy.”
