Betty Barclay goes live worldwide with the Koppermann PDM/PLM solution

Just over a year after placing the order with Koppermann, Betty Barclay can now celebrate the go live phase of the new PLM system.

In 2012, the company, based in Nussloch, Germany, was looking for a sustainable PDM/PLM system to assist its growth. The system had to be flexible and suitable for adaptation to the process changes of a continuously growing corporation with a dynamic development; it had to assist its rapid evolution and to promote this development by an optimum process design. Koppermann proved to be the ideal partner for these challenges and reached the go live phase after only 14 months thanks to its convincing and extremely positive project routines and project results.

Koppermann’s solution comprises an effective combination of a fundamental database which maps the best-in-class processes of the clothing industry with the configuration perspectives offered by Tex-Define. Betty Barclay was particularly impressed by the possibility of a customized design of the PDM/PLM solution and its forms. To ensure the sustainable success of the project, Betty Barclay also employed a further industry expert in addition to Koppermann: Ms. Birgit Kampmann.

She is a very experienced consultant in questions of process optimization and PDM/PLM launches, in particular for the configuration of the system. “The continuous advice and coordination within the project team on both sides was excellent and was implemented with a lot of passion,” confirmed Johannes Herrmann, Executive Organization Manager and PDM Project Manager at Betty Barclay. The extensive standards, a flexible reporting process and the extremely high competence of the project team at Betty Barclay and Koppermann allowed the go live phase to be reached in record time.

A special highlight of the project: The constant support of Koppermann’s experienced integration experts ensured that the project progressed at high speed. The data flow to the ERP system was completed at an early date and above all in parallel and was able to be tested in real time. The key users were also involved in the project and trained at an early stage to support the introduction of the system.

“We are proud to have helped make the everyday work of around 200 users of all brand divisions at all development locations (Nussloch, Arnstorf and Shanghai) more efficient thanks to the benefits of our PDM/PLM solution TEX-DEFINE™,” emphasized Patrick Panhofer, Senior Project Manager PDM at Koppermann.

Koppermann would like to express its thanks for the exceptional cooperation of the project team and for the sensational project result and looks forward to a successful partnership in the future.
