Trendy footwear company Blowfish LLC has launched a bold new e-commerce initiative designed to convey the company’s brand and product message while providing its customers and online community with rich content and social media interaction. The new system is fully integrated with the company’s ERP business system to streamline both the shopping experience and order fulfillment.

The new site (http://www.blowfishshoe.com/) is designed to enable the fashion-forward company to more directly and effectively share its brand and product message with consumers in a state-of-the-art online community environment that combines shopping with blogs, style content, social media links, and other advanced capabilities. The new Blowfish e-commerce solution is fully integrated with the shoe company’s existing RLM FashionManager™ enterprise software to streamline order management, credit card processing, warehouse and inventory management, and customer shipments.

The integration of the of the new e-commerce solution with the RLM business management software (ERP) streamlines both the online shopping experience and the order fulfillment process. All product details, pricing, and inventory information is entered and maintained in one system. Online shoppers can use keywords to find products by style, color, size, and other relevant criteria. With accurate and real-time inventory information, the system can add new products to the site as they become available and remove out-of-stock products to eliminate back-orders.
To fulfill an order, the system automatically links with a third-party credit card processing service to receive payment. Customers receive automated email notification confirming the order and to provide shipment tracking information when it ships. The RLM system is also integrated with Blowfish’s third-party warehouse provider to enable same-day shipment to the customer.
