London 22 October 2014 – Dassault Systèmes, Europe’s second largest software company, global Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and 3D leader, has partnered with international software business, Island Pacific, to extend the power of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform to fashion brands and retailers in the UK.

The partnership means that Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Platform is now available from Island Pacific in the UK.

Island Pacific was selected for its positive industry presence, expertise and reputation. Its solutions are deployed at fashion and retail brands including; Urban Outfitters, PVH, Aeropostale, rue21, VF Group (Timberland, The North Face, Vans, Nautica), Ralph Lauren, L.K. Bennett, The Dune Group, Hamleys and Primark. The solutions manage inventory, merchandising, point of sale and store management.

Among the Dassault Systèmes Industry Solution Experiences that Island Pacific will offer its existing and potential customers are My Collection for Fashion and My Store. These capture and simulate realistic 3D representations of products and their performance within virtual reality retail store environments. Virtual showrooms realistically display ranges before they physically exist. This allows optimal lines and assortments to be visualised and merchandised in digital 3D for maximum appeal and profit.

The 3DEXPERIENCE Platform suite of applications also facilitates collaboration of global teams, speeds time to market by up to 50%, provides the ability to better understand and respond to customer demand, streamlines complex supply chains and supports decision making at all levels.

Brands such as Benetton, Gucci, Hagloffs, Guess and Michael Kors deploy the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform to successfully control their data, manage change and product variation, and utilise virtual reality.

Mike Dotson, Island Pacific VP Global Sales, said, “Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Platform enables our customers to enjoy the advantages of PLM, 3D and virtual reality technologies for store and product, design and to collaborate on business processes and development. In a fast moving and complex environment this new partnership gives us the ability to help customer meet and respond to industry challenges in advanced, efficient and cost effective ways. Many of our users have asked for this next-step technology and I am delighted that we are now able to offer it to them.”

Stephen Chadwick, Dassault Systèmes Managing Director EuroNorth, said, “There is a perfect fit between our two companies. This new partnership brings our Fashion Industry Experiences through Island Pacific to a large and impressive range of fashion companies. For Dassault Systèmes this is an exciting partnership that progresses and reinforces our UK alliance network strategy of outreach to diversified vertical markets with Industry Solution Experiences.”
