Grupo Cortefiel to shorten fashion collections’ time-to-market with EXALEAD while expanding internationally
MADRID, Spain – 27 March, 2014— Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), the 3DEXPERIENCE Company, world leader in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, today announced that top European fashion corporation Grupo Cortefiel has implemented its EXALEAD CloudView application to manage import- and export-related product information for its collections.
With EXALEAD CloudView, the company streamlined customs clearance processes and became more efficient, optimizing sales by avoiding delays and contingencies, such as extra storage or transport costs, thus shortening time-to-market.
Cortefiel’s multi-brand growth strategy has been coupled with international expansion. Recently the group entered new markets including China, Mexico and Russia while rapidly expanding its online presence and sales. Each season products are manufactured in Asia and exported to stores around the world via logistics hubs in Madrid and Hong Kong. During this import/export settlement process, quick and simple access to relevant product information is essential to shorten the process and avoid increased costs.
The group searched for a solution that would provide a single access point for all product information. They chose Cloudview that allows users and business partners fast access to product and transaction information classified by business areas (import/export department, franchises and agents). Part of Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, EXALEAD Cloudview provides an intuitive way of searching, exploring and analyzing information, whatever its source, and responding to the specific needs of each stakeholder.
The system assists with customs formalities and also helps to achieve efficient goods declaration, by easily providing agents relevant product information in the language of the destination country.
By combining the supply data from the company’s ERP system with the design data from its PLM application, EXALEAD is easy to implement. The software’s non-intrusive architecture adapts to the many and various requirements of the different brands and partners that operate within Grupo Cortefiel, and its ease of use facilitates its adoption by these diverse stakeholders.
