FOG Software Group Acquires EFI Fiery DesignPro Business, Now Rebranded as Aquario Design

NEW YORKApril 27, 2020 — Aquario Design, formerly EFI™ Fiery® DesignPro and Generation Digital, a provider of textile and fashion software solutions built as plug-ins to Adobe® Creative Cloud, today announced its acquisition by FOG Software Group (“FOG”), a division of Constellation Software, Inc. [TSX: CSU].

Aquario Design will operate as an independent business within FOG’s Apparel and Textile Technologies portfolio. This acquisition now brings three best-in-class textile and fashion technologies—NedGraphics, Optitex, and Aquario Design—under the same parent company. Here they will have the opportunity to work collaboratively to improve the customer experience while offering a range of design solutions that align with market needs.

Aquario Design’s software enables fashion designers to quickly and easily create, visualize, and produce production-ready textiles from designs created in Adobe Creative Cloud programs. As part of the FOG Software Group, Aquario will focus on expanding its core product functionality while maintaining the exceptional customer support that has enabled its growth to date. “We earned our position in the industry as one of the leading textile and fashion solutions by leveraging our experience as designers, and by working closely with our customers,” said Matt Forman, President of Aquario Design. “This acquisition only enhances our ability to serve designers all over the world.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Aquario to the FOG Apparel and Textile Technologies portfolio and are excited to continue to invest in the future of textile and fashion applications,” said Sandy Scott, FOG Software Group Portfolio Manager. “Aquario benefits from a visionary entrepreneurial team, and we are excited to support ongoing product innovation and value creation for designers around the world.”

As part of Constellation Software, the FOG Software Group’s long-term strategy is to acquire, build, and retain companies. Aquario Design will benefit from FOG’s knowledge and relationships in the industry as well as Constellation Software’s best practices, developed over 20 years through the acquisition and operation of over 500 enterprise software businesses.
