Gartner to acquire AMR Research for US$64m

(DECEMBER 09, 2009) IT research and advisory company Gartner Inc (NYSE:IT) reported on Tuesday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire AMR Research Inc for approximately US$64m in cash.

AMR Research is a research and advisory services firm that serves supply chain management and IT professionals. The company forecasts revenues of approximately USD40m for 2009.

This acquisition is expected to expand Gartner's suite of research offerings and complement its consulting and events operations.

The transaction is scheduled to be finalised before the end of December.
