Human Solutions measures North Americans and showcases many innovations for the apparel industry

Texprocess USA 2016

Kaiserslautern/Cary/Atlanta, 28.04.2016 – Know your sizes, America! At the Texprocess USA 2016 from May 3 to 5, the Human Solutions Group will introduce its major project “Size NorthAmerica” and showcase many apparel industry innovations which reduce costs by making working easier and simplifying processes.

VITUSbodyscan_SS_Farbe“Size NorthAmerica” is the first representative serial measurement survey carried out with body scanners considering both the United States and Canada. “We know that people change over time – and a full understanding of human body shapes is absolutely indispensable for developing vehicles and clothing”, says Michael van Genabith, President of Human Solutions of North America Inc. “Size NorthAmerica” reveals the body dimension changes that have taken place through time. It’s our aim to provide most current and representative data for the automotive and apparel industries.” Numerous renowned companies have already given their support to the survey, including Hugo Boss, Ford and BSN medical.

The measurement procedure acquires the body dimensions, proportions and demographic data of many subjects in numerous locations in the United States and Canada. More than 17,000 men, women, and children will take part in Size NorthAmerica. You’ll find more information at www.sizenorthamerica.com.

Innovation for the apparel industry

In addition to “Size NorthAmerica”, Human Solutions will also showcase many innovations and further developments of successful products at the Texprocess USA. For example, in a 3D world, visitors can see how the 3D simulation software Vidya simulates clothing on almost photo-realistic manikins using real body measurement, body volume and movement behavior data. The garment is based on real material parameters, enabling even a fabric’s elasticity to be realistically displayed. Human being, pattern and fabric interact perfectly for the simulation. The Group will also introduce its “Virtual Scanner”. It uses the iSize database which is so extensive, statistically representative and detailed that the body measurements and shapes of customers can be determined with only a few known parameters. Based on this information, a realistic avatar is created with all the right functions for the fashion process, such as online ordering and virtual consulting in the shop.

Body scanning in color

The Texprocess USA will also see Human Solutions present the VITUSbodyscan  color scanner, which delivers a near-photographic image of the scanned person within seconds. Determining exact body measurements is an essential success factor for the apparel industry. The 3D body scanners by Human Solutions deliver extremely realistic images of the scanned person within seconds, using more than 150 individual measurements that can be accessed individually as required.
