Introducing The Interline

0

Introducing The Interline – our brand-new publication, and the new home for fashion technology news and opinion. Our editorial calendar starts with a launch month focused on technology for luxury, and the rest of 2020 will cover key fashion technology topics.

The Interline is an online publication and community dedicated to fashion and retail technology. Designed and written by the fashion industry experts who created WhichPLM, The Interline is a brand-new, independent initiative targeted at fashion industry professionals who are hungry for real editorial, opinion, and analysis that is completely devoted to fashion technology.

Other technology publications only rarely talk about fashion. And fashion business magazines only sometimes touch on technology. The Interline is different: we are all fashion technology, all of the time.

WhichPLM readers will have noticed that WhichPLM itself has been pushing the envelope of fashion technology for several years –attempting to drive forward the idea that true digital transformation goes beyond PLM as software, and embraces Product Lifecycle Management as an ideal.

Over time, though, we realised that doing both things – PLM and broader fashion technology – justice was going to require two homes.  One for PLM, with a laser focus on the kind of information PLM project teams need to make informed decisions.  Another for everything else – from personalised, post-sale experiences that rely on RFID, to the new age of industrial robotics.

From today, there will be a dividing line between the two publications, and while we will continue to connect, collaborate, and sometimes cross-post, WhichPLM and The Interline will effectively be two separate content tracks.

Beginning from today, with our luxury-focused launch, every month of 2020 will see The Interline reporting on a different fashion technology topic:

  • March: Technology for luxury
  • April: 3D – Technical
  • May: 3D Aesthetic
  • June: Factories of the future – Industrial
  • July: Factories of the future – microfactories
  • August: Materials sourcing platforms
  • September: The new age of sustainability
  • October: All about blockchain
  • November: In-store retail transformation
  • December: Search and conversational commerce

Be sure to bookmark www.theinterline.com alongside www.whichplm.com.  And if other areas of your business would benefit from opinion, analysis, and interviews that cover the whole fashion technology spectrum, please encourage them to drop by The Interline as well.

We look forward to welcoming you to both websites in 2020 and beyond.
