(GERMANY, JULY 29, 2010) The apparel industry today is facing major challenges. One acute problem is how to better manage the ever-increasing number of collections and product variants. Developed especially for the fashion industry, plm.assyst is a monitoring system which integrates an apparel company’s entire data and processes and uses workflow functions to make the system actively usable.
The IMB Select 2010 will see assyst introduce a new module for framework collection management. The module supplements central project management functions for improved control and management of a company’s entire collection development – from initial planning right up to the final collection.
Decision-makers are provided with an optimal overview of target attainment, scheduling and sketches – from overall company level right down to individual products and product variants. This guarantees that every collection and every product is economically and qualitatively commensurate with corporate planning.
The new framework collection plan in plm.assyst is currently being used with great success in pilot projects The module’s functions can also be individually adapted to match existing processes and workflows, a feature shared by all PLM modules by assyst.
The module offers a foretaste of the new plm.assyst 20.11 release, which will be introduced at the Texprocess in May of 2011.
