Today, Lectra positions its latest release of Lectra Fashion PLM as a platform tailor-made for prestige fashion customers seeking to thrive in the face of market-led change, and looking to safeguard the integrity of what Lectra calls their “DNA” – the essential characteristics of their business.

Although Lectra as a broader entity caters to three industries (fashion, automotive interiors, and aerospace textiles and leathers) with its 2D and 3D design tools and manufacturing hardware, its PLM product is fashion-only. As a result, all research and development into PLM is expressly conducted to meet modern apparel industry challenges, rather than being industry-agnostic work that is later appropriated for different verticals.

Headquartered in Paris, close to the Arc de Triomphe, Lectra maintains offices around the world and has major activity centres throughout Europe, China and North America, in addition to an R&D campus and “flagship showroom” centre in Bordeaux, France.

With a renewed focus, proven technologies, an enviable customer base for its CAD and CAM products, and global, industry-oriented experience to draw upon, Lectra is poised to make its impact felt in the PLM market in 2015.
