PDP And Gerber Technology Announce Non-Exclusive Implementation Partnership

(MANCHESTER, UK, 16 December 2011) The Product Development Partnership (“PDP”) and multinational PLM provider, Gerber Technology, today announced that they have reached a non-exclusive agreement that will see PDP become one of Gerber Technology’s global PLM implementation partners.

This agreement follows an implementation undertaken by PDP, in which Gerber Technology’s YuniquePLM™ product lifecycle management system was the customer’s chosen solution. The agreement also cements both parties’ reputations: PDP’s as one of the most trusted, experienced groups of industry advisors, and Gerber Technology’s as one of the leading suppliers of PLM to the retail, footwear and apparel industries.

“Our team of industry experts has conducted successful, large-scale PLM implementations for retailers, brands and manufacturers of all shapes and sizes – from boutique designers to multinational corporations,” said Mark Harrop, Managing Director of PDP. “I firmly believe that the right PLM solution, properly implemented, is one of the most important IT investments any company can make, and I look forward to more companies benefitting from what I am sure will be a strong, productive relationship between the PDP and Gerber teams.”

With decades’ worth of experience and an absolute focus on the retail, footwear and apparel industries, PDP’s consultants will collaborate with Gerber Technology’s own expert implementation teams to ensure that all future implementations are conducted smoothly – according to standardised best-practice methods – and that customers are able to maximise their return on investment as rapidly as possible.

“With the rapid expansion of Gerber Technology’s YuniquePLM business, particularly in Europe, we are joining forces with several experienced, knowledgeable partners to augment our own team of experts and help us continue to deliver top-level implementations to customers,” said Bill Brewster, Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing for Gerber’s Software Solutions business. “PDP is the newest addition to our Services Partner Program and will play a vital role in ensuring users of YuniquePLM have a thorough understanding of its broad capabilities and are delighted by its unparalleled ease of use.”
