PLM Technology – new independent development unit from E-Spec
Both companies will continue to work together while focusing on their core strengths.
(DALLAS, US, SEPTEMBER 23, 2009) E-Spec President, Dan Hudson, announced today that E-Spec’s development group, PLM Technology, has been spun off as an independent company. PLM Technology will continue to provide development services to E-Spec while focusing on providing development services directly to other customers.
Hudson commented, “We began building this development team about six years ago. At that time E-Spec’s primary business was implementation and custom programming services. Over the last two years, E-Spec has shifted towards providing software products for use with Adobe’s Creative Suite® along with related integration/implementation services. By separating the development group, E-Spec maintains access to the expertise and talent we have developed, while allowing PLM Technology to expand and grow. Both companies will continue to work together while focusing on their core strengths.”
E-Spec will continue to develop and support its existing product line. Customers will now have the option of acquiring development assistance for other projects directly from PLM Technology. PLM Technology, headed by Girish Siddappa, provides product engineering services to customers and independent software vendors including product management, product engineering and professional services, through a combination of offshore delivery, near-shore and supplemented by on-site execution as required offering a portfolio of software product life cycle solutions.
Siddappa also mentioned that “based on the market demand or client requirements PLM Technology will also develop its own products and solutions to compliment the existing E-Spec offerings”.
