(MILAN, ITALY, OCTOBER 05, 2009) Porini and its partner Axellerate attended Style Star, a media and communications event held in a prestigious venue in downtown Milan (Town House Galleria hotel) during Milan Fashion Week from 23rd to 29th September. The purpose of the Microsoft-staged event was to showcase the wide range of solutions for fashion houses and luxury companies offered by Microsoft and its partner.

The brainchild of Marina Garzoni  and her non-profit association Fashion & Technology, Style Star was hosted in collaboration with Microsoft. After its debut at the Hotel Excelsior on the Venice Lido, during the 66th Venice Film Festival, Style Star landed in Milan during the Milan fashion week from 23rd to 29th September.
In Milan the Style Star Lounge, where MarieClaire enjoyed its own exclusive section, was hosted at the Town House Galleria hotel and became the meeting point for the fashion, film and technology trade worlds, in an effort to illustrate how to take part actively in the many initiatives powered by Style Star.

During the event Microsoft put forward innovative solutions enabling customers to better manage business processes and set to enhance people’s profiles within organizations and their role in the company. Such solutions have been devised to help companies innovate their processes and improve customer relations, in an effort to trying to create a customized and exclusive buying experience for the customer. Porini has had the pleasure to speak at this event along with Axellerate (a Qualified Porini Partner) and to showcase the functionalities of the A & T (Apparel and Textile) vertical solution, developed on the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP platform and capable of fulfilling the management, production and distribution needs of textile, fashion and luxury companies.

•  ShopShape, the new online collaboration tool that completes the range of Visual Merchandising solutions for optimizing and speeding up the furnishing of retail outlets.

• Microsoft Dynamics CRM for the fashion and luxury sector, thanks to which a special relationship can be established with customers, keeping track of personal tastes, buying trends, and each customer’s needs and desires. Based on this information one can develop marketing and brand loyalty campaigns, raising the standards of business efficiency.
