PTC appoints Open Systems Technology as Product Lifecycle Management VAR for Australia and New Zealand

(SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, JUNE 29, 2010) PTC (NASDAQ: PMTC), the Product Development Company®, today announced that it has appointed Open Systems Technology (OST), a company with an 18-year history of implementing ERP and PLM solutions, as a Value Added Reseller for the Australia and New Zealand markets. OST will sell and implement PTC’s Windchill® Product Lifecycle Management software which helps product development organisations manage and control their product development processes and intellectual property to get products from concept to production faster, more efficiently and with higher quality.

Mr. Glenn Nanda, General Manager of OST, said: “With our experience in Life Science, Defence, Retail, and Industrial consumer goods, organisations can have the confidence in working with an experienced local PLM partner. A partner who can provide strategic planning, deployment services, project management, and most importantly ongoing support, covering maintenance and future development. In addition, with a long history of working on both ERP and PLM implementations, OST has a unique and deep understanding of the relationships between the two domains. This is vital as companies often struggle to understand the interaction between both domains.”

Commenting on the alliance, Mr. John Condon, Vice President, PTC Asia Pacific Channel, said, “OST is an experienced and strategic business partner that will ensure that organisations implementing PTC’s PLM solutions will derive real business value and process improvements. This new partnership reinforces PTC’s commitment to enhance the global competitiveness of Australian and New Zealand businesses”, added Mr. Condon.

OST has also been awarded the first direct FlexPLM partnership outside North America. PTC’s FlexPLM is a Windchill-based solution for the Retail, Footwear and Apparel markets, where OST has considerable expertise.
