PTC Plays a Lead Role in Texprocess 2019, Covering PLM and Supply Chain Connectivity

As key technology sponsor and exhibitor, PTC will showcase its industry-leading FlexPLM solution and the broader Retail Innovation Platform over the four-day event, as well as delivering a thought leadership session designed to help companies unlock the hidden potential of PLM.

BOSTON – May. 14, 2019 — Reinforcing its commitment to the European fashion and retail markets, PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) is proud to sponsor, speak and exhibit at Texprocess 2019, which opens today in Frankfurt, Germany.

The leading international trade fair for textiles and flexible materials, Texprocess 2019 has drawn hundreds of exhibitors and tens of thousands of visitors to the massive halls of the Messe Frankfurt exhibition center. Across technology showcases, demonstrations, and thought leadership sessions, the event will cover the complete textile value chain – from manufacturing hardware to enterprise software – with a strong emphasis on sustainability and supply chain connectivity.

A key technology sponsor, PTC’s Retail Business Unit will be present for all four days of the event – demonstrating the broad footprint of its Retail Innovation Platform, which aligns closely with key event topics such as digital product design, digital product development, and supply chain visibility. Visitors to the PTC booth will be able to go hands-on with solutions tailor-made for these strategic goals, as well as other key technologies, including 3D visualization, Augmented Reality (AR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the revolutionary Material Exchange platform.

With the highest number of users, total, of any retail and fashion-focused PLM solution, and the highest average user count per implementation, interest is expected to be high in demonstrations of PTC’s leading FlexPLM solution in Frankfurt, as well as at PTC’s own event, Liveworx 2019, which will take place in Boston next month and carry through many of the same themes as Texprocess 2019.

“Technology has become a vital part of any retailer’s design, development, and sourcing processes, and Texprocess presents the perfect opportunity for us to highlight the cutting-edge capabilities that PTC’s Retail Innovation Platform provides to help customers connect every link in the value chain and improve visibility,” said Bill Brewster, Senior Vice President and General Manager of PTC’s Retail Business Unit. “We are thrilled to actively participate in such an influential industry event in an extremely important region – one where we continue to experience significant growth and are firmly committed to delivering continuous business value to new and existing customers, now and in the future.”

A trusted thought leader in the retail space, PTC has recently partnered with independent retail technology analysts WhichPLM to publish a handbook and eBook – both designed to help brands and retailers unlock the hidden potential of PLM through technology integration and supply chain adoption. These subjects will be brought to life in an engaging, thought-provoking educational session to be delivered by PTC retail expert Doerthe Palkus, on 16th May at the Texprocess Forum, Hall 4, Level 1, AO2.

“From initial inspiration to manufacturing, FlexPLM has been proven to help Europe’s biggest retail businesses to redesign their key processes and make better-informed decisions,” added Paul Byfleet, Senior Director of PTC’s dedicated Retail practice in EMEA. “In the last year alone, we have embarked on new, large-scale PLM projects with several well-known European brands and retailers, and I’m thrilled to have the chance, at Texprocess 2019, to shine a spotlight on the same scalability and functionality that have secured these and other projects for PTC’s team of regional, retail experts.”
