PTC to Demonstrate its Latest Retail Innovation Platform Capabilities at NRF 2019

On-site interactive demos to show how brands and retailers can digitize product development, from planning to commercialization

Farnborough, UK – January 14, 2019 —PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) today announced it will feature its Retail Innovation Platform in booth #4083 at the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) annual event, Retail’s BIG Show, on January 13-15th.

PTC’s Retail platform combines the industry-leading FlexPLM solution with an award-winning connectivity and artificial intelligence (AI) platform that enables brands and retailers to accelerate product development and gain insights from across the enterprise to drive better merchandising, design, and sourcing decisions.

To better meet the evolving and demanding needs of the retail, footwear and apparel industry, several technology innovations and solutions from PTC have been fully integrated into a single, connected platform that can digitize product design and development processes, from planning to commercialization.

“One way that brands and retailers are able to digitize product design and development is by integrating best-in-class PLM with 3D design, augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence,” said Quach Hai, VP of Retail Product Management, PTC. “The results of working digitally are profound. Retailers and brands cannot only reduce time to market and product cost, they can also grow bottom line profit and increase sales revenue.”

In addition to design and product development, PTC will also demonstrate how brands and retailers are able to digitize sourcing processes and accelerate materials selection using a global Materials Exchange – an open platform that enables designers and developers to find, source, and co-develop fabrics, leathers, and components directly with suppliers.

Furthermore, PTC’s valued technology partner Nexgen Packaging will be supporting PTC with interactive demos showing the integration of the Nexgen Packaging software platform with PTC’s Retail PLM solution, FlexPLM, which provides retailers with an accurate and complete Bill of Materials, as well as greatly improved engagement with their global vendor community.

“We recognize that today’s brands and retailers are facing enormous change and major competitive challenges,” said Bill Brewster, Senior Vice President and General Manager, PTC Retail Business Unit. We also understand the complexities of bringing the right products to market, at the right time and at the right price, and these are the precise challenges our Retail Platform is designed to solve. We’re excited to show the industry at such a significant retail event as NRF just how powerful this technology can be.”
