BOSTON – March. 29, 2019 —PTC (NASDAQ: PTC) is pleased to announce its active participation in the latest PI Apparel (Product Innovation Apparel) event in Asia, which will take place on 2nd and 3rd April 2019 at the Kowloon Shangri-La.

As a global series of events, PI Apparel brings together leaders from across fashion, apparel, and footwear to discuss the vital role that technology plays in helping brands, retailers, and their suppliers to keep pace with a fast-moving industry.  The 2019 series also includes upcoming events in the USA, Europe, and South America.

Over the course of the two-day event in Hong Kong, PTC will share the broad footprint of its Retail Innovation Platform, which aligns closely with key event topics such as: digital product creation; the future of supply chain connectivity and collaboration; the use of 3D in design, development, and manufacturing; and digital material sourcing and management. Visitors to the PTC booth will be able to discuss these vital subjects with PTC’s dedicated retail experts and learn first-hand how PTC is supporting companies in these strategic areas.

“We are thrilled to be a featured sponsor at such an important industry event, and we look forward to showing attendees the full potential of our technologies, sparking a critical conversation about the importance of connecting supply chains,” said Bill Brewster, Senior Vice President and General Manager of PTC’s Retail Business Unit. “Our dedicated retail team believes strongly in sharing best practices and illustrating the benefits of new, cutting-edge innovations, so I’m confident the business leaders and executives attending PI Apparel Hong Kong will see for themselves why PTC is the trusted PLM and technology partner to the world’s best-known and most successful brands and retailers.”

On the first day of the event, at 12:30pm HKT, PTC will also lead a discussion on the role that PLM can play in delivering the vision of a fully-connected, digital supply chain.  Hosted by Brion Carroll, PTC’s VP of Global Business Development in Retail, the session will highlight the challenges inherent in complex, global supply chains, followed by real-world uses cases showing the ways that PLM can be integrated to other digital solutions to drive operational efficiencies, deliver true transparency, and reduce time to market.

With the highest total number of users of any retail-focused PLM solution, and the highest average user count per implementation, interest is expected to be high in PTC’s leading FlexPLM solution at PI Apparel Hong Kong as well at PTC’s own event, Liveworx 2019, which will take place in Boston this summer.

As a committed thought leader in the retail space beyond its keynote sessions at events like PI Apparel, PTC has recently partnered with independent retail technology analysts WhichPLM to publish a handbook and eBook designed to help brands and retailers interested in PLM to make the best-informed decisions possible.
