PTC’s Retail Business Unit Highlights Speaker Roster & Highest-Ever Early Registration Figures for Liveworx 2019

A month before Liveworx 2019, PTC Retail has received its highest-ever early registration figures, and can reveal speakers representing VF Corporation, Womenswear Daily, Skechers, and other high-profile names. WhichPLM has been named as the chosen media and moderation partner.

PTC’s Retail Business Unit is proud to reveal that the Retail track of the upcoming Liveworx 2019 promises to be the most subscribed and supported in the event’s history.

A large delegation of executives representing the industry’s hottest brands and largest multinational retailers are all ready registered, along with retail thought leaders, innovators, analysts and journalists from across the globe. And with a month remaining until the event takes place, just blocks from PTC’s pristine new headquarters in Boston’s renovated Seaport District, registration figures are set to increase.

Occupying the full footprint of the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center from 10th to 13th June, Liveworx 2019 is the world’s most respected digital transformation conference for the enterprise. Covering the full spectrum of PTC solutions and services, more than 6,000 people are expected to attend this year’s event, drawn by keynote speeches from PTC President & CEO Jim Heppelmann, NFL SVP & CIO Michelle McKenna, and Singularity University Founder & Director Peter Diamandis, as well as the presence of Game of Thrones star Nickolaj Coster-Waldau.

As an important industry focus for PTC, Retail will be a key fixture of Xtropolis – the 200,000 square foot exhibit hall that also spotlights the latest innovations in industrial IoT, virtual and mixed reality, and robotics. The PTC Retail Business Unit, along with select partners, will provide interactive showcases and product demos across the full scope of the Retail Innovation Platform, which includes cutting-edge technologies like PLM, 3D Design, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and much more.

These subjects and others will also be addressed in nine educational breakout sessions and panel discussions dedicated to exploring and solving critical retail industry challenges. These sessions will cover:

  • Exclusive market insights, and previews of upcoming innovations from PTC’s resident retail experts
  • Ways to integrate 3D and PLM to create a digital product creation workflow
  • The technologies driving connected, digital, and sustainable supply chains
  • The future of brand-to-factory initiatives, and techniques for improved supplier collaboration
  • The latest developments to the revolutionary Material Exchange platform
  • Real-world uses cases for artificial intelligence – from design to distribution
  • Guidelines for calculating return on investment (ROI) from initial implementation through to creating continuous value

Over 25 educational speakers and panelists have been confirmed for these sessions, including representatives of Deckers Brands, VF Corporation, Brooks Brothers, Burberry, Sourcing Journal, Womenswear Daily, Skechers, and other high-profile retailers and industry figures.

“Liveworx 2019 comes at an exciting time for PTC and for the retail industry,” said Bill Brewster, Senior Vice President and General Manager of PTC’s Retail Business Unit. “New technologies are putting digital transformation within reach of brands and retailers, and at the same time core tools like PTC FlexPLM are becoming more fully-featured, secure, and scalable than ever. In the twelve months since Liveworx 2018, we have seen more than twenty customers upgrade to the latest version of FlexPLM, which is testament to our commitment to preparing businesses of all shapes and sizes for the new era of retail. At Liveworx 2019, delegates will be able to go hands-on with all our latest developments, as well as hearing from an incredibly high caliber of speakers.”

For the first time, Liveworx 2019 will also feature dedicated tours of the retail showcase, ensuring that attendees get a focused, uninterrupted look at everything the PTC Retail Innovation Platform has to offer. “I’m honored to be asked to speak at Liveworx 2019 and I’m also excited to be an attendee too!” said Mitch Harvey, 3D Innovation Manager for Deckers Brands. “Every Liveworx, I come back with a ton of learnings and action items to implement within our company. I’m sure this year will be no exception and I hope delegates will learn a few things from the innovations that we’ve been working on with PTC.”

For the second year, the retail sessions will be professionally hosted and moderated by Ben Hanson, Senior Analyst at WhichPLM – the chosen media partner for the retail track of Liveworx 2019. “I’m delighted to have been invited back to host the retail portion of Liveworx again,” said Hanson. “Every Liveworx provides a thrilling peek into the future of retail technology, and the roster of speakers assembled this year promises to offer some real insights into how brands and retailers can turn their vision for digital transformation into a reality.”
