Triple Aught Design Implements Centric 8 in the Cloud

Centric Software Logo(CAMPBELL, Calif., Aug. 1, 2012) Triple Aught Design (TAD) has selected Centric Software, Inc., to provide product lifecycle management (PLM) software, becoming the first Centric customer to implement in the cloud.

TAD, based in San Francisco, has purchased Centric’s Line Planning, Product Specification, Sourcing and Calendar Management modules.

When TAD decided to transition to in-house sourcing, development, and production management, avoiding the use of spreadsheets for managing product information was a key concern. TAD selected Centric because of the flexibility in Centric 8 PLM software for apparel, the company’s domain expertise, and the Centric team’s willingness to accommodate a cloud-based implementation.

“The option to implement in the cloud was of primary importance to us,” says Brett Eisenberg, CEO of TAD. “Lower cost of ownership and the elimination of the need to hire or divert additional resources to IT overhead, help us maintain core focus on the design and production of the high-quality apparel and equipment for which Triple Aught Design has become known.”

“TAD’s PLM software decision demonstrates just how technologically astute and forward thinking the company is when it comes to pursuing growth,” says Chris Grove, CEO of Centric. “The cloud implementation – one of the first in our industry – is an excellent example of Centric’s commitment to working with customers on flexible, cost-effective ways to incorporate PLM.”

Centric deployed the entire PLM system implementation using Amazon Web Services. Within weeks of implementing, TAD has experienced significant return on its PLM investment.

  • Standardized data and processes
  • “Single version of the truth,” with product design, production and cost information available to entire team
  • Greater productivity, working smarter and faster
  • Elimination of data entry errors
  • Ability to meet all seasonal deadlines for product lines

“We value the growth and scalability that the Centric 8 PLM system afford TAD as a small, fast-growing company,” says Eisenberg. “The Centric team understands our business goals and product development needs, and has worked closely with us to ensure our teams can collaborate effectively to keep products on track.”
