I founded PDP some three years ago, when the number of suppliers catering to the retail, footwear and apparel sector could be counted on the fingers of one hand. As our industry has grown (with more than fifty suppliers now staking their claim to the fashion landscape), so too has the need for clearer communication, better education and unbiased reporting.
Reflecting this rapid growth, since we launched WhichPLM in 2008 it has gone on to become the de facto industry source for news and impartial opinion, attracting more than 12,000 regular readers, each of whom wants to know which PLM solution is right for them.
If you are one of those regular readers, you might have noticed a few changes! After considerable research, design and testing, it is my pleasure to welcome both existing and new readers alike to the new face of WhichPLM.
The changes are not just cosmetic, and while you will continue to find WhichPLM’s signature blend of news, opinion, tools and insight here, with our relaunch comes a renewed focus on high-quality articles, interviews, videos and industry defining projects.
What hasn’t changed, though, is our mission statement. Since the beginning of WhichPLM we have stuck closely to one main principle – that the services and information we offer are defined by our rigorous and transparent ethics – and this is what has allowed us to develop the first truly independent software comparison engine specific to the RFA industry.
The comparison engine will launch exclusively on WhichPLM this month, but in the meantime please take a look around. From educational programmes to conference reportage, video blogs to in-deptch interviews, the range of content on WhichPLM has never been richer, and my team and I intend to build on this over the coming weeks and months.
We will always be independent, but we will continue to cultivate close working relationships with suppliers in order to deliver accurate, unbiased comparison results and the most up-to-date news. I hope you’ll agree that we have grown with the industry, and as long as PLM remains the choice for companies of any size wishing to keep pace in a difficult climate, WhichPLM is here to stay.
If you have any comments about our new look or any of our premiere content, please don’t hesitate to contact a member of the team. I wish you a pleasant and informative visit to our new home.
