What’s Next? – Lawson Customer Event


WhichPLM takes a look at Lawson’s UK customer event, What's Next?

Lawson Software held its annual UK What’s Next event at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Warwick on 21 October, 2008. This year was the best attended yet with over 140 participants and 109 customers present from the UK, Ireland and the Benelux.

Harry Debes, CEO of Lawson Software The event enabled customers to meet Lawson's senior management team face-to-face and provided unique insights into the latest products, services and how they could benefit from them all. It was also a great opportunity for Lawson customers to network with their peers and share experiences.

As fashion is a key vertical for Lawson, there was a special Fashion Session held in the afternoon. The session was attended by over 20 people spanning apparel, footwear, textiles and fashion accessories companies. The audience was given an update on all Lawson Fashion solutions including Lawson Fashion PLM, which is now part of the Lawson M3 product line. There was also an excellent presentation on the PLM project and solution at Courtaulds by Bill Jarman.

The Lawson Value Assessment, which uses the unique Opportunity Analyzer tool, was also introduced as Lawson believes it could help many companies to identify, quantify and rank in financial terms, potential business performance improvement opportunities.

Lawson is keen to build a Community of Interest for Fashion, so this was discussed and an outline plan for future activities put in place. Look out for a round up of the US PLM Customer day held by Lawson earlier this month.
