As the Editor of WhichPLM my primary responsibility is for the overall content, direction and development of the website. But the WhichPLM name doesn’t stop here.
I also wrote our industry-defining Customer Survey in the summer of last year, following an extensive and arduous data gathering exercise headed up by several other members of our team. The survey contains an accurate and detailed snapshot of the industry as it was at the time of publication (September 2010), accompanied by what I believe to be the most informative PLM buyer’s guide written to date.
The entire, 20,000 word document was written for companies that, like you, readers, may have been in the tentative stages of considering whether a PLM solution was right for them, and was sold to several such companies.
I know first-hand how daunting the PLM shortlisting and selection process can be. This has always been the catalyst for my insistence that WhichPLM provide the best possible news and services to businesses of all sizes who find the PLM industry bewildering, whether it’s online, in print or in person.
At the time of printing, the survey offered the most comprehensive picture of PLM for the apparel industry. As far as I can see, it still does. But I can today reveal that the whole WhichPLM team are nonetheless in the process of assembling a better, more unique and wider-reaching document for publication later this year.
Rather than repeat last year’s survey format, this year’s publication will be provided absolutely free of charge from the outset and will adopt a brand-new format. To be titled “WhichPLM Annual Review 2011”, it will provide the same detailed industry feedback as last year – refined and renewed. It will also collect the best of WhichPLM’s articles and insight from the last twelve months.
In the run up to the publication of our 2012 Annual Review early next year, I have decided to offer the entire 2010 Customer Survey to our readers completely free of charge. Information yearns to be free, and more than 100 meticulously-researched pages of it are contained here.
Simply fill out the fields below to receive your unlocked PDF copy.
I hope you find both documents informative and useful. Stay tuned for more information about the 2011 Annual Review in the coming weeks.
