In the news over the past seven days were Plural Technology, vendors of the Apparel Innovator solution. The company announced on Monday the expansion of their relationship with consultancy and reseller Estrix Spain.
Following this, Israel-based E-PLM supplier OptiTex (developers of the 3D visualisation solution of the same name) revealed their appointment of Asaf Landau as CEO. Asaf replaces Ran Machtinger, who ascends to the position of Chairman of the Board.
Core PLM supplier Visual 2000 (developers of the Visual PLM.Net software, and an extended suite of fashion-focused solutions) announced a new on-demand training initiative intended to provide the company’s clients with access to training and education specific to their unique requirements. This follows Visual 2000’s February announcement of a customer e-learning programme designed to offer less-specific but more affordable online training to its customer base.
If you are one of the regular readers who are already planning their year with our newly-launched Events Calendar, you may have already noticed that Texprocess Americas takes place in Atlanta, Georgia from 24th to 26th April. This week saw Gerber Technology (suppliers of both core and E-PLM solutions to the apparel industry) promoting their attendance at the show.
Finally, in other events news, core PLM suppliers TXT e-Solutions announced the second of their Thinking Retail events (the first having been attended and reported on by WhichPLM in September of last year). The event takes place in Paris on 29th March and will feature presentations from Desigual, Guess, Louis Vuitton Malletier, amongst others.
