(CARDIFF, UK, JULY 07, 2009) DeSL announces that Leading Chinese Sports wear retailer and manufacturer  Xtep Group has selected DeSL’s PLM and Supply Chain solutions.

Xtep has used an existing PLM system since 2007 but with their business rapidly growing, they now have more advanced requirements such as better collaboration within their global supply chain and to strengthen their relationship with suppliers. This, combined with the need for more advanced and visual control of work flow and planning, from initial seasonal plan to product delivery, meant that a replacement system was required. Before selecting DeSL, Xtep undertook a very detail internal requirements review along with a rigorous vendor selection process. After reviewing many industry specific vendors Xtep selected DeSL along with DeSL’s Chinese partner SunzSoft as the consultancy team for the whole project.

“After 2 years of analysis, we have established good internal workflows and a very clear understanding of the benefits that PLM can bring to us. We are quite clear about our own requirements and the current system weaknesses. We selected DeSL because of its focus on Apparel and Footwear industries and the wide function that can exactly satisfy our needs. Its mature Microsoft.Net platform gives us confidence to strengthen our supply chain with suppliers and internal critical path management. We believe it will be a successful project in Xtep,” said Dr. Wu Lianyin, Vice President & Group CIO of XTEP (Group) Co.

“We started working with XTEP from 2007 for the first PLM project, and during the last 2 years, both XTEP and our team have formed a strong relationship. We represent DeSL because of its focus on the fashion industry , experienced team and continued improvement of the solution. It’s flexibility and rich functionalities are really what XTEP is currently looking for.” said Mr. Lion Chin, Managing Director of SunzSoft Ltd. Visit www.sunzsoft.com for more detail.

“We feel extremely honoured to have been selected by Xtep for the next phase of their PLM evolution” said Colin Marks, Managing Director of DeSL. “The teams of Xtep, DeSL and SunzSoft will work closely together to ensure a very successful project”.
